My name is Sam Holley-Kline, and I’m a senior at Steller Secondary School. I was born in Louisville, Kentucky and moved to Alaska in 1997. I’m involved with Anchorage Youth Court, Perfect World, and Wasilla Arby’s, where I am currently employed. I generally live in Wasilla and commute. My interests may include but are not necessarily limited to dignity, maritime archaeology, sleep, law, journalism, movies, travel, cats, Celtic folk music, eating, Ireland (specifically 1798-1966), and MLA-formatted papers.
I probably should eat more healthy foods, but I am a sucker for pepperoni pizza as well as cheeseburgers. I enjoy carrots, but not eggplant. I do enjoy pears as well as cantaloupes, but I dislike math. I have authored a few of these “About Me” things, and find it difficult. Were this biography a paper, I imagine I would be increasing the size to 12.5, changing the font to Arial, increasing the margins to 1.25”, and using the passive voice whenever possible.
Actually, I guess I don’t mind writing these things. But how do I write one without rambling? Will whoever reads this get any sense of me from a paragraph or two? How random is too random? These are things I consider, from time to time. Eventually, I just conclude the writing and move on.
But how to conclude? Not a summary. This isn’t a five-paragraph essay, nor is it long enough to even warrant a summary. Here we go: Vote Knowles.
