Sara Perman is a student at West. She was born and raised in Anchorage Alaska. She is an aspiring radio journalist, and has become increasingly interested in media in general.
You can often find her relaxing with friends, snowboarding, or pretending to "jam" to music. It has been Sara's goal for over a year to form a band, but she has also figured out that to do so she may need to learn to play an instrument first. She would like to learn the guitar, but that may be a while ahead in the future. On her iPod you will find a wide variety of music, but on her "Most Played" playlist you will most likely find Brand New, Something Corporate, Thursday, and Sublime. Sara enjoys listening to these bands when she finds herself on top of a mountain with a snowboard attached to her feet in the winter.
Sara has 2 more years of high school, and hopefully 2 more years as an ATMI reporter before she goes off to college to train to be the next "big thing" in the journalism world. She also hopes you will tune in every month to listen to her fellow ATMI teens' work of art, "In Other News".Sara Perman
