West High Suicide Prevention After at least two suicides in the Anchorage School District this year, ATMI's Chloe Choabal investigates suicide prevention at West High and gets some advice from a teacher and a counselor in this radio story.

KNBA Teen Radio Program! Learn audio production and hear your work aired on the radio. The Alaska Teen Media Institute, in partnership with KNBA 90.3, Cook Inlet Tribal Council and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, is pleased to announce the Alaska Native Teen Media Program. Alaska Native high school students with an interest in audio production are welcome to apply. Deadline is May 23, 2013.

In Memoriam: X-Play ATMI's Jacob Holley-Kline recently had his first brush with Twitter fame when he wrote an ode to one of his favorite TV shows while growing up. This blog entry was re-tweeted by X-Play host Adam Sessler to his thousands of followers. Jacob shared his experience on the January 2012 edition of "In Other News" on KNBA 90.3 FM. Youth Journalism International Awards! Three ATMI reporters received top honors at the Youth Journalism International Awards 2012. Congratulations to Ishmael Streever, Aviva Hirsch and Kosette Isakson for being amoung the students (from 18 countries) honored. Listen to our award-winning stories.

Bullied: Teen Stories from Generation PRX! ATMI's Chloe Chaobal was 1 of 7 students from around the COUNTRY selected to be apart of GPRX's bullying radio program. We are incredibly proud of her!! Her story, "Agressors, Victims, Bystanders" is about the effectiveness of said program in the Anchorage School District. It provides insight from students, teachers and the AVB Coordinator. "Bullied: Teen Stories from Generation PRX" aired February 20, 2012.

New Voices! Three ATMI teens were New Voices Scholars and received scholarships to ATMI Third Coast in Chicago. As part of the deal, they and the other scholars wrote essays about the future of public radio.
