Welcome to the weird law zone-the place where we expose true laws from around the globe that don't make sense.

First up is our home state of Alaska:

•  By law no child is allowed to build a snowman taller than himself within school grounds.

•  In Fairbanks, it is illegal to feed alcoholic beverages to a moose.

•  Moose may not be viewed from an airplane.

•  It is considered an offense to push a live moose out of a moving airplane.

•  It is considered an offense to feed alcoholic beverages to a moose.

Now we have weird laws of Texas, the second largest state in the union.

•  It is illegal to drive without windshield wipers. You don't need a windshield, but you must have the wipers.

•  It is illegal for one to shoot a buffalo from the second story of a hotel.

•  The entire Encyclopedia Britannica is banned in Texas because it contains a formula for making beer at home.

•  A recently passed anticrime law requires criminals to give their victims 24 hours notice, either orally or in writing, and to explain the nature of the crime to be committed.

•  It is illegal to take more than three swallows of beer while standing.

•  You can be legally married by publicly introducing a person as your husband or wife three times.

•  It is illegal for children to have unusual haircuts.

Now we are going to be exploring the weird laws of California, the sunburn state.

•  Nobody is allowed to ride a bicycle in a swimming pool.  

•  It is illegal to cry on the witness stand.

•  Persons classified as "ugly" may not walk down any street.

•  It is a misdemeanor to shoot at any kind of game from a moving vehicle, unless the target is a whale.

•  It is illegal to curse on a mini-golf course.

•  It is against the law to drive more than 2000 sheep down Hollywood Boulevard at a time.

•  Hunting moths under streetlights has been banned in Los Angeles.

Last are the international laws

Australia

•  Children may not purchase cigarettes, but can smoke them.

England

•  Committing suicide is classified as a capital crime – punishable by death.

•  In Chester you are allowed to shoot a Welsh person with a bow and arrow provided it is done inside the city walls and after midnight.

Canada

•  Swearing in French has been outlawed in MontrĂ©al.

France

•  Pigs must not be called Napoleon.

South Korea

•  Traffic police are required to report all bribes that they receive from motorists.

China

•  It is illegal to go to college unless you are intelligent.

•  Rescuing a drowning person is not allowed as it would be interfering with their fate.

Hong Kong

•  A betrayed wife is legally allowed to kill her adulterous husband, provided she does so with her bare hands. The husband's lover, quite rightfully, may be killed in any desired way.

Uruguay

•  Only blood donors are allowed to duel.
